OVERVIEW
Designed by Award winnings architects Neeson Murcutt Neille, Vernon Constructions undertook the careful renovation of Heritage listed St
Joseph’s Catholic Church, Rosebery. The project included the structural modifications of the existing building, construction of new church
altar, main entry, prayer rooms, amenities, administration offices and boardroom. Vernon also undertook the external works upgrade works
including new carpark works, automated entry gates, boundary fencing and external landscaping areas. The overall result is a beautifully
refined church with a number of feature elements throughout, including;
- New Carrara Marble Altar, stairs and access ramps
- New entry vestibule with detailed metalwork gates and awnings
- Blackbutt clad Prayer and confessional rooms
- Exposure and restoration of original tallowwood floors
- Skylights to building Altar
- New large format Blackbutt windows and doors throughout the building
